- the article opens with the discussion of the new logistics system. In NTW, armies in enemy territory which will aren't marched via villages, towns and supply depots (new placeable structure). It seems that the season also contributes to this process in some fashion. Speaks of the possibility of scorched earth tactics to slow up invasions.
- The three campaigns are Italy, Austria and a sort of cumulating grand campaign, which takes place in Europe and runs from 1805 to 1812 in which you can play as any major continental power. Faction goals not yet decided upon by CA.
- Diplomacy will be more polarised. Making friends as Napoleon will be hard

Promising indeed, Mr. Writer. But they said that kind of stuff about Empire's AI to and it turned out to be unmitigated lies, so I'll believe it when I see it. Talk is cheap.
- 'if you destroy one type of structure and start another you'll have access to the equivalent level of structure' - huh? don't follow this sentence. A necessary compromise because of the shortened time-scale apparently.
- Agents: Preachers; out, because of the time scale. Rakes, gone, replaced with spies who can also "delay armies through sabotage". Gentlemen; retained and have a new ability, to distribute seditious pamphlets in enemy cities.
- CA want to put generals 'center stage' again but haven't decided how. Article speculates on special abilities buttons.
- Much more diverse and detailed uniforms for all. Plus, 64 different face models and, quote, a "bazillion" combinations of randomly selected equipment and limbs.
- CA are "looking to give generals their own tactical party pieces". Believe it: when I see it.

So, it sounds really cool. A bit like Empire sounded really cool. Still won't pick it up without serious reassurance that it's not another Empire. Present this anyway as a service to those not able to buy the magazine.
