Problema Schermo nero nelle battaglie

Salve a tutti so nuovo e mi rivolgo a voi come mia unica speranza

oggi tra un sospiro e l'altro ho comprato medieval 2 felice come un bambino a natale lo installo e guardo con amorevole cura tutti i filmati...
ma come in tutte le belle storie c'e' un MA

Ma quando fo il tutorial mi accorgo che non mi fa partire le battaglie
provo riprovo aggiorno fo disfo chiedo nel forum ufficiale (inglese per altro) ma non rispondono
rispondono a tutti eccettuato il sottoscritto -.-

allora cerco una comunita' di giuocatori accaniti e vi trovo


mi carica la battaglia ma quando ha finito il monitor si SPEGNE e sento solo i rumori del caricamento per altro
riporto diseguito tutti i dati del pc cosi che possiate aiutarmi

io non so che dirti... ho praticamente la tua scheda video (la 9700) e a me non da problemi.

non so se hai giá provato ad abbassare le opzioni video al minimo.

Fai delle prove cambiando i drivers della scheda video, prova con i piu' recenti, e vai scalando finche non trovi quelli giusti, setta subito il monitor su 60 hz e vedi come va, in caso fai delle prove pure con le frequenze del monitor.

.quante più opzioni grafiche avanzate riesci a determinare.
Se ti funziona poi le rimetti una ad una e scompri quale ti impedisce di giocare.

è capitato sia nella cmagpna, sia ll'inizo dele battaglie sia durante la battaglia.

ho postato una richista d'aiuto sul forum ufficiale, se tu hai novità postale.

Non ho fatto niente salvo fare uno scandisk e defrag (mi ha confermato che serviva un defrag).
Da allora non mi è più accaduto. (Ritocco ferro).
Io ho un 3800 AMD Dual Core ed una 7800 GTX (84.21 i driver).
Magari, ma io sono un semianalfabeta, puoi provare a disabilitare la modalità dualchanel per le memorie. Magari acquista in stabilità.
Io l'avevo provato (senza risultato perche non era questa la causa) per ovviare ad un problema che mi accadeva per la Serie Total war (velocizzazione di tutto il gioco), salvo poi risolvere il tutto con la Utility AMD che ovviava ad un problema del processore con alcuni giochi.
E ti pareva che non ci fosse di mezzo il mio preferito.
Spero con tutto il cuore che riusccirai a raccaperzartici.
Io alla chiususa della finestra mi ero gia vistpo dal mio venditore PC per cambiare tutta la macchina.
Spero non debba arrivare a tanto, ne tu ne io.

And if it really is a game specific problem CA will most certainly react.
BUT having mixed RAM has always been an issue. It is somehow a problem with the mainboards and the RAM when they are mixed....I don't even understand it myself properly. BUT I myself have experienced this issue to manifest itself in very strange ways. It is even possible to not show up on 90% of your games but certain games it will show up. I *think* it has something to do with the amount of RAM really needed by the game. And MTW2 apparently really can need 1GB and thus cause your mainboard to access the RAM not properly.

As for changing your hardware. I would most certainly wait for further notes from CA and or patches as well as trying thorough Memtests with all RAM's in or updating BIOS and chipset drivers might help as well. Even setting your RAM timings to slower values might solve this stability problem (for example setting the RAM command rate to 2t from 1t or decreasing latency settings from CL2 to 3).
If you want to find out more about this problem you could test those things whether or not they have influence.
My bet is that reducing command rate or latencie WILL solve it even when using more than one stick.

You, sir, are a genius. The command rate was the key, I changed it - and guess what - no more crashes with 2 Gig of mem installed. But until now I'm not quite sure what I did exactly... .
In the BIOS I chose advanced chipset features, then DRAM configuration. After that I changed the user config mode from auto to manual. The memory timing was obviously set to 2T when in auto mode, so I changed it to 1T - and that's it. I've been playing for several hours now and not a single crash happened. Also, according to 3DMark05, this didn't impact performance at all. As far as I can see in Medieval 2, this is true.
Well, thanks a lot Iscaran. You gave me the solution I was looking for (and hopefully it will work for the other people with this problem as well). But now I have to go. The Holy Roman Empire is getting impatient .

Quando avvi il PC mi sembra di ricordare che devi tenere premuto CANC e poi cercare fra le varie voci (non ricordo dove sia).

sono disperato, non riesco ha giocare in multy.
entro in un game faccio larmata, parte il caricamento ma mi porta sul dsktop il gioco si chiude e mi dice errore sconosciuto!!!!!
eppure, precedentemente avevo fatto tre game e d era andato tutto liscio.

possibile che mi devo ammazzare per evitare di soffrire cosi atrocemente

A quanto leggo ho il vostro stesso problema. Tutto ok il gioco ma nel momento in cui devo fare la battaglia, schermo nero e si sentono solo i suoni.

Se provo a cliccare il tasto del mouse ritorna al desktop avvertendomi di aver disattivato i driver della scheda video, in pratica mi entra in modalità VGA, ovvero in sicurezza, come se il problema non fosse la scheda video ma i driver.

Premetto che il gioco è caricato su un portatile che monta una Ati mobility radeon 9700 e sulla base delle specifiche automatiche del programma, dovrebbe farcela.

Se voglio aggiornare i driver non posso perchè nel sito ATI non esistono stranamente driver aggiornati per questa scheda...

E' assurdo, mi è rimasta la collera e la furia di non poter giocare a questo bellissimo gioco comprato con tanto sacrificio...

Se avete qualche idea in merito per risolvere l'arcano ve ne sarò molto grato!
