ciao,
ho trovato questo da Shrapnel games:

www.shrapnelgames.com/boku/war_engine/1.htm

dalle caratteristiche:

Turn based gameplay whose roots stretch back to Circa 7000, the first game in the series and one of the very first computer games to allow such complete customization. Each new release brings new refinements and improvements, thanks in part to the wonderful fan support who keep feeding Boku Strategy Games new ideas.

Playable solo against the excellent AI or another human opponent.

Complete customization abilities makes mod-making a snap. Change the graphics and audio, design brand new units with over 150 statistics to use, and craft your own maps and campaigns. Everything in the game is up for change, all with simple to use programs that are either included with the game (like the unit stats editor) or are available on everyone's system like Notepad and Paint.

Heavily influenced by miniature gaming, this is a perfect system for anyone who wants to play their favorite tabletop miniature game but whose opponents have moved thousands of miles away. Or maybe you just don't have the money to spend on the hundreds of little metal guys (and the time to actually paint the buggers). The War Engine is like having your own virtual gaming basement!

Extremely flexible system allows module makers to create the type of game they want to make. With a little work and a some ingenuity you can do almost anything you want with the system.

Seven modules and over a hundred scenarios between the seven means there is plenty of gameplay right from the start. The modules include:

- Armies of Armageddon by Mike Cooney and Eric Arroyo. Squad level SF combat in a world where life is cheap, and bullets cheaper. Lead your heavily armed Marine troops against the nefarious bald and barbaric grunts. This is the evolution of Circa 7000.

- Tour of Duty '44 by Ed Marshall. Take charge of a Ranger company in battle against the forces of the Third Reich as you struggle across war torn France. From hitting the beaches at Normandy, to the climax at St. Lo, you'll engage in over twenty one exciting scenarios.

- The Northern Realm Saga by Joe Nefflen, Eric Arroyo, and Ed Marshall. Want a break from pulse rifles and MP-40s? Split a few goblin heads in The Northern Realm Saga then. An instant classic that will be enjoyed by anyone who ever played the boardgame Dark Blades.

- Global War: Total Conflict by Timothy P. Mammelli and Eric Arroyo. How about this for a change of pace, instead of down and dirty man to man combat an operational level wargame? Set during WWII you'll command a wide variety of forces as you battle for global supremacy.

- Paintball! By Mark Hahn. A great example of thinking outside the box, have fun playing paintball without dealing with the welts. An excellent module for two-players.

- TRL by John K. Lerchey. In the near future a vicious war is being fought on the nuclear badlands of what was once the great United States. Can your conventional forces take on the might of a single robotic TRL? Hmm, wonder what influenced this particular mod?

- Warspace by Solar. Warspace is a superb module for showing that you don't have to confine yourself to ground conflict with The War Engine. Fleets of starships clash amongst the stars in this epic science fiction module of ship to ship combat.

Io avevo provato la demo di Armies of Armageddon, e il sistema è piuttosto interessante soprattutto per creare giochi, credo...
Sto scaricando la demo in cui è possibile provare l'editor.
Ciao
Totola
